Fabric Care
We recommend a regular simple vacuum of your fabric sofa and
loose seat and back cushions should be rotated and plumped
regularly to extend the life for the fabric, feathers and
foam.
If your sofa comes with a loose slipcover, we recommend to have
the cover dry-cleaned by a cleaning company once a year.
For upholstered seats and sofas, we recommend a regular simple
vacuum. Minor spills should be quickly blotted with an absorbent
paper towel or clean cloth to avoid staining. Avoid using
aggressive household cleaners, we recommend using green (organic)
soap instead.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight to prevent bleaching,
discolouration or drying of the coated surface.
Wood Care
Dust with a soft damp cloth. A big part of our collection is
made from old wood that requires as little moisture when cleaning
as possible. Especially for untouched finishes, one should take
care not to use too much water while cleaning. Spillages should be
cleaned with a soft damp cloth as soon as possible to avoid
moisture damage. Keep in mind that serious stains (e.g. red wine,
oil-based sauces) shall be seen in the woods, but in the same time
'adds living character' to the piece as we frequently say.
It is common for seat foams to soften over time.
Avoid direct heat such as sunlight, fires or air-conditioners to
prevent fading, moisture build up and/or scorching. Sharp objects
can cause snagging, tearing or pulling of the fabric. Cut any loose
threads off the sofa, do not pull them. Minor spills should be
quickly blotted with an absorbent paper towel or clean cloth to
avoid staining. Avoid using aggressive household cleaners.
